Music City Agile is Nashville's first local, full day conference dedicated to Agile, Lean, Kanban, Scrum, and more. We want to bring a rich mixture of national and regional thought leaders to our city to share their experiences and further the adoption of these principles and practices in local organizations. We also want to use open spaces to allow for attendees to drive their own content and sharing as well.
This conference is being coordinated under the umbrella of the successful Music City Code conference which is a minority-led non-profit organization of local volunteers. Music City Code runs directly after the Music City Agile conference August 18th through 20th.
Follow us on Twitter at @MusicCityAgile to stay up to date.
Music City Agile runs two days, August 17th and 18th. On the 17th we have over 25 sessions from national and local Agile though leaders, open spaces to share and learn from your peers, and our Agile coaching corner to get some personalized help from the experts.
On the 18th we have 17 workshops that we are running with our sister conference, Music City Code. These run all day or half day and you can attend any of the workshops which cover a wide range of Agile and software development topics.
Tickets for the first day of sessions are $50, the workshop day is also $50, but if you purchase a ticket for both days you get a discount at $80. Groups of 5 or more can get 10% off their purchases.
Go here to purchase your tickets today!
In an effort to keep costs down and ensure everyone can afford to attend, Music City Agile attendees are invited to purchase the lunch of their choice from an on-site food court. Dining options include Starbucks,
Far East Fusion, Blue Coast Burrito, Papa Johns, Chic-fil-A, AFC Sushi, and Aubon Pain Cafe as well as an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall!
Drinks and light snacks will be available throughout the event as well, so no need to worry about going hungry. We like you better when you've been fed anyway!
The conference is held on the campus of David Lipscomb University at their Swang Business Center at 1 University Park Dr., Nashville, TN 37204. The building is easily accessed from either Belmont Blvd. or Granny White Pike. Go here for more detailed directions.
We should have plenty of room to park on campus off Belmont Boulevard in the lots in front of the Beaman Library and Ezell Center with overflow around the baseball field (see map on our directions page). Follow the signs to find available parking.
The official hotel for both Music City Code and Music City Agile 2016 will be the Marriott Courtyard Green Hills. It was chosen based on the positive feedback from speakers who stayed there last year and for it's close proximity to the conference venue at Lipscomb University (1.5 miles).
